It was another fine day but because we were waylaid we never got anything done. Anna had a dentist appointment which took an hour due to the fact that they couldn’t freeze her mouth properly. In the afternoon I took Anna to the station while Jim went to Perth to get sleeves taken up on a new Jacket that he had bought. I measured and said 2″ but he came back saying he had got it put up 31/2-41/2 inches. Oh my god, I thought, a new jacket with sleeves at half mast. So I went into Perth to make sure it was ok. I got them to take it up a wee bit less but not at half mast.
Most of the day gone. Rachael wanted to go gallavanting so, because her car had broken down yesterday (on the way to a new job training day), I took her to the station. Then Jim and I decided to go a walk to a place I discovered in my new book (the geology one).Iit was a place below West Lomond called the Bunnet Stane. I hadn’t even heard of it before. It is not far from home but not walking distance. We drove to a car park and had to walk uphill (I’m not very good at hills) for just under a mile along paths and farmland to a peculiar weathered rock formation. I will put a photo on my blog soon when I have recovered.
We are home now the wine is open and we can relax.
