I’ve just had a great phone call from someone canvassing on behalf of Iain Smith our Liberal Democrat MSP. I just said I voted for the Lib Dems last time to stop the Tories get in and no way are they getting my vote. With proportional representation they wouldn’t have got it anyway but it was good to say it. Gets up my nose, anyway, that they phoned me as I don’t like unsolicited calls .

I’ve just been talking to Duncan on Skype. He was chatting away. He was doing the ttte jigsaw and was telling me the numbers of the trains. He has learned all the numbers from 1 to 10 (not on the trains) and can do some counting as well. He has also started on his letters but only told me one today as he was fed up with them because he had done some this morning. He seems quite bright for his age. I think the one to one helps. He is now completely potty trained and totally out of nappies which helps cut down on the washing.
I am really looking forward to see him at the Big Tent ecofestival in Falkland in 3 weeks. It should be great fun I hope the weather is good. I see the weather is due to break tomorrow in time for the school break. Typical!

I do not want them protected by anyone. The Catholic church talks about how bad homosexuals are yet protects these defilers of innocents. Even although the church in this area would collapse without the gay priests. I wish it would get its priorities right and realise what is truly wrong.

I have just been looking at facebook and it is quite amusing as it is mostly my nieces and nephews, ( the one who want me as their friend), it is like a meeting of dyslexics anonymous and that includes the ones who are not dyslexic. Mind you I have just corrected 2 spelling mistakes here already.

Today was pleasantly warm 20 degrees ish. We spent the day in the garden doing various jobs that needed done but not knocking our pan out. Then about 8pm ish it was g& t time then supper. I think that is one of my favourite sounds… the ice rattling in a glass…. FB! Then with the supper and a nice bottle of Polly Fume. I like summer days. Yesterday was a bottle of champagne then ham salad with a bottle of Jasnieres, a chenin blanc. Ok so tomorrow is Monday and the dry season starts for 4 days but I do like it hot.

I was awakened at 2 am with someone knocking on the door of the next door house and did not get back to sleep for a couple of hours. But I did get back. BUT at 5 o’clock there was a chapping on my bedroom window. This happened 3 times. I must admit it doesn’t often happen as I am on the first floor, well to be honest it has never happened before. But this was 3 times in a short space of time followed by a squawk each time. Bloody Jackdaws , I wonder what they wanted.
